April 9, 2017 By Vanessa Beaty Leave a Comment

You know what I can’t get enough of? Rustic decor. And I’m not the only one. Homespun DIY decor crafts are a huge trend right now. And no wonder … rustic furniture and decor ideas like these immediately make your entire home feel more cozy. And many of them use cheap, simple materials like burlap (see 100 burlap projects here).

Now I have a special treat for you! This is a DIY & Crafts exclusive video that teaches you how you can make a beautiful rustic vase using simple supplies, most of which you probably already have laying around the house!

Materials needed.

Empty bottle (glass or plastic both should work fine)
Twine
Glue
Decorative elements of your choice (burlap is an excellent option)

Instructions:

1. Begin by applying the twine to the bottom of the bottle using the glue. Wrap it around and around, working toward the top.

Gluing the twine.

2. Once you reach the top of the bottle, you are done with the twine. You now can decorate the bottle with burlap, flowers, ribbon, or other elements of your choice.

Once you are done decorating your bottle, put some flowers in it, and it becomes a beautiful rustic vase!

And that’s all you need to do! What is exciting about this project is just how many ways you could decorate your bottle to personalize it into a vase that fits with your home décor. Plus, it is super easy! Give it a try and have fun!
