How to Make a Mesmerizing Glow-in-the-Dark Star Mobile

How to Make a Mesmerizing Glow-in-the-Dark Star Mobile {Video}I am always in search of cute décor ideas for my kids’ bedrooms. One thing my kids really love is those glow-in-the-dark stars that you can put on your ceiling and walls. They emit that soothing green glow, and they really do add some magic to a child’s bedroom.

My kids have plenty of those, but they are always looking for new glow-in-the-dark stuff (when I bought them their first stars, it was the start of a glow-in-the-dark addiction). I just found something really cool to add to their rooms, and it is something that I can make on my own—a glow-in-the-dark star mobile!

Check out the video:

Get the Glow in the dark glue sticks here from Amazon.

I so wish I had one of these when I was a kid!

This is actually a very clever hot glue gun project. To make the stars, you need to buy one of those cake molds that has star shapes. You could actually use this technique to create lots of other glow-in-the-dark shapes as well. I actually didn’t realize before I saw this video that glow-in-the-dark glue existed. Now I keep thinking this project is just the tip of the iceberg. There must be so many cool ideas for turning glow-in-the-dark glue into awesome crafts!

I am going to make these soon for my kids (I’ll probably end up making one for myself as well). I bet I will come up with even more fun ideas while I am working on them! What a great video and what a clever craft. Have fun making yours! Similar project on Instructables here.
