When we first moved into our house, it had this amazing lawn—the grass was perfectly even and green, and the previous owners had done some beautiful landscaping with the trees and bushes. The yard was one of the most exciting things about the home to us. We could visualize all sorts of awesome ideas to beautify it even further.

But it fell apart after we bought it. We had so much to do to fix up the interior of the home that we neglected the yard. It was still serving a purpose since our kids love playing in the yard, but it was no longer great to look at. Gradually, it started getting dead patches and overgrown weedy patches. Some areas of it have turned completely brown. We’ve even caught our neighbors making snide comments about it … yep, it is pretty much a lawn emergency at this point.

Thankfully, I just stumbled across a video that has taught me how we can revitalize it with a few simple steps!

We are going to need some specialized equipment for this project, but I think we can get a hold of what we need. The steps themselves don’t look difficult at all. It doesn’t even look nearly as time-consuming as I would have imagined. I can’t wait to get started on this and see the results. It is such a relief knowing that there is still hope for our patchy lawn to return to its former glory!

Your ideas on lawn aeration are very much appreciated. Based on you ideas I see how I could use my garden fork to do the job. Thanks a lot.
