Not only is this one scrumptious, it’s pretty easy to bake. And, you don’t have to know how to make a great homemade pie crust. You can use one that you find in the store.
You’ll need about 10 minutes to get this pie ready for the oven and then it has to bake for almost an hour. If you have ever made pecan pie before, you have probably used corn syrup as the base.
This one uses sugar and honey which gives it a really unique and really delicious flavor. Top it off with some vanilla ice cream or whipped cream and your family will love it! If you don’t happen to have any whipped cream on hand, just follow this quick and easy recipe for homemade whipped cream.

Start with a homemade or store bought deep dish pie crust
Mix other ingredients and add pecans for filling
Add mixture to pie crust and bake for 50 minutes

Scrumptious Pecan Pie Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 pie crust (22 cm/8 inches)
- 1 ½ cup of pecans
- ⅔ cup of sugar
- ⅔ cup of honey
- 3 eggs
- ⅓ cup of butter
- 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 320 F (160 C).
- Put butter, sugar and honey in a small pot. Place over medium heat and cook, stirring, until sugar melts completely. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Beat eggs with salt and vanilla. Add the sugar mixture in and whisk to combine.
- Mix pecans into the filling and pour into frozen pie crust.
- Cook for 50 minutes, remove from the oven and let cool completely.
