These 5 Easy DIY Easter Egg Decorating Ideas Are SO Creative

March 15, 2018 By Vanessa Beaty 1 Comment

Ask most kids their favorite holiday, and they’ll probably respond with “Christmas,” or “my birthday” (in the cast of my youngest, who thinks her birthday is a holiday). But with our kids, it has always been “Easter.” They love painting Easter eggs. I hear about it for weeks leading up to the day we all sit down to do it.

Since they love Easter so much, I’ve been looking for ways to expand our Easter traditions. So we’ve been adding on new activities like these 20 fun family Easter traditions, and trying out creative crafts like turning an old sock into an Easter bunny.

Recently, I thought it would be cool if we tried out some new ways to decorate eggs. Who says we should just paint them every year? While that’s always fun, there are a lot of ways to spruce up eggs for Easter. In the video below, I share 5 fast, easy, and creative Easter egg decorating crafts which are great for kids and adults!

2. Wrap some pipe cleaner in a color of your choice around the cotton. Yellow is a good option. You can think of this as whipped cream with a bit of caramel drizzled on top.

3. With your markers or pens, draw “sprinkles” all over the egg in a few different colors.
