How to Turn a Shower Curtain into Beautiful DIY Wall Art {Easy Project}

I was so thrilled when we moved into a larger house, but there was one problem which persists to this day—a lot of empty walls.

Of course, I like to look at any challenge as an opportunity! And I really enjoy doing art projects, so over the years I have found a lot of cool wall art projects. Take this beautiful DIY wooden wall map, for example, or this collection of wall photo decor ideas.

So I got very excited when I found this project to turn a shower curtain into wall art:

Browse Amazon.com for decorative shower curtains.

It might sound like an odd idea, but for me, it was a perfect find. I was browsing in the department store a few months ago, and I found a beautiful shower curtain. I actually remember thinking, “If only they had this print as a picture instead of as a curtain.” I bought it anyway, figuring at least then I’d have it as a replacement when my current shower curtain gets too old and moldy to use anymore.

But now I can actually put it up on my wall! And since it’s so large, it is going to fill a really huge white spac,e which has been bugging me for ages, and it will have a really dramatic, eye-catching effect. This definitely looks like more than a one-person job, but I know my husband and kids will have a blast helping me with this. I am so glad I discovered this video; I hope it inspires you to try making your own shower curtain wall art! Video by Kati Heifner.

    Best part about this video... The beautiful white dog who apparently enjoys being covered!

    It is a well known fact that humans need constant supervision. Good thing the dog was there to monitor the project or the whole thing might have have become a train wreck 🙂 It is a beautiful piece of artwork and very cost effective.
