7 Alternative Uses for an Iron That Are Borderline Genius

7 Alternative Uses for an Iron That Are Borderline Genius {Video}My parents gave my husband and me an iron and an ironing board when we got married and moved into our first home. I was pretty excited about it at the time, but over the years I quickly discovered the iron doesn’t get a lot of use. Aside from my husband’s work shirts, nothing really needs to be ironed. I mean, consider awesome hacks like this one for de-wrinkling clothes in the dryer.

I have now discovered that my iron has all kinds of surprising uses around the home! Check out this video from HouseholdHacker:

Seriously, there are so many cool things you can do with your iron! You can laminate documents, fix wooden floors and carpeting, and even prepare and store food. Seriously, the hack to seal meat is my favorite. I collect cool kitchen hacks (check out some of them at this link), but this one just blew my mind. It’s far and away the coolest thing I have found in ages.

I hope that you have as much fun watching this video as I did. An iron really is an incredibly versatile household appliance, and its uses go far beyond the laundry room. So if you’ve had yours stuffed away in a closet like I have for years, it’s time to get it out
