There’s nothing like a delicious, colorful cocktail to refresh your guests at a summer party. I know a few great cocktail recipes, but I’ll be honest—I have always focused a lot more on flavor than presentation. But I feel envious when I go to other people’s parties, and their cocktails are really beautifully presented.
And one thing I have noticed time and again is that there is a difference with the ice. Whenever I make ice, it is always really cloudy. For some reason, when other people make ice, they get it all nice and clear like glass. I couldn’t help but wonder what was going on. I mean, ice is ice, right? It’s frozen water. So how was I missing some kind of magical secret? Was there one? Was I just unlucky, cursed by the ice gods?
It turns out there is a trick. I finally found it in this video!

It’s a great watch because you learn how to get the nice, clear blocks of ice, and also how you can shape the ice into perfect cubes, spheres, and other cool shapes. I have been working on this, and it’s definitely going to take me some practice to get it perfect, but I am already getting much better results. My ice is relatively clear, and the edges are a lot
