Amaze Your Neighbors with This Easy to Make Monster Halloween House Decor

Modified: Sep 27, 2016 by Vanessa Beaty · This post may contain affiliate links · 4 Comments

Imagine having the scariest house in the neighborhood on Halloween! We’re betting you never thought of decorating your actual house. We found this idea on Reddit halloween decor, that shows you how you can turn your home into a monster for Halloween. The trick or treaters are going to love this one!

It’s relatively easy, although it may take you a little time depending on how extravagant you want your monster to be.

You start with foam boards, which you cut out in the shape of eyes and teeth. Using a durable outdoor paint (you choose your colors) paint the design onto the foam boards. Now you just have to attach them.

Keep in mind that foam is a bit flimsy so if you live in an area with heavy winds during fall, you’ll want to secure your decorations with something a bit stronger than double sided tape. You can purchase foam boards at any home improvement store or craft store, and you’ll find strong double sided tape there, too.

Make enough eyes to cover your windows and then teeth for the porch. Do them in colors that accent your house or choose contrasting colors to really make it stand out. You can also use paint that glows in the dark to really make it spooky!

Imagine how adorable your home will look all dressed out for Halloween, and the kids are going to absolutely love it!

Finish it off by putting your trick or treat candy in one of these neat Fall Leaf Bowls and hand it out wearing an easy to make Adult Halloween Costume.
