Milk and cookies are a very American combination; it isn’t quite as popular around the rest of the world. Although I’m pretty sure that when anyone of absolutely any nationality sees this magical creation, they won’t be able to control the drool! Instead of dunking your cookies into your milk, you can now pour milk into your cookie shot glass. Intrigued? Of course you are.

Video Instructions

Ingredients:

For the cookie cup

  • 1 cup shortening
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

For the filling

  • 1 cup dark chocolate candy melts (you can order these from Amazon or find something similar)
  • 1½ cups milk
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract

You may not use shortening in much of your everyday cooking or baking, but in this case, it’s necessary to make the cookies hold their shape. Some people have reported using butter, and while it did work for some, for others it didn’t, so if you’re not willing to take the gamble, get yourself some shortening. Let us know how it works out if you do decide on butter instead.

Now, vanilla milk isn’t the only thing that you can pour into these cookie cups; kids might love some ice cream or whipped cream in there, too. And remember the marshmallow shot glasses with Bailey’s? Well, you can do the same here! Make the cookies adult-style with a touch of booze like Kahlua – the possibilities are pretty much endless!

If you still want to make something cute for the kids that’s easier to both make and eat, give these adorable teddy bears a try.

Looks delicious! I don't think muffin tins would work, however - too shallow. I am going to look on Amazon to see if they sell those metal forms for the cups.
