Brilliant Recycling Project! Turn Old Jeans into this Quirky Farm Girl Apron

Modified: Jun 10, 2015 by Elisabeth Kruger · This post may contain affiliate links · 2 Comments

People make a lot of cool things from their old jeans, like skirts, bags, quilts, and even placemats; but a cute farm girl-inspired apron? Well that’s new and exciting! Repurposing old jeans that no longer fit really is a much better idea than simply tossing them – especially when you can make something as practical and pretty as this.

If you’ve never thought of yourself as an expert at sewing, embrace this project as a rewarding challenge; the comprehensive tutorial will guide you all the way through. If you don’t have your own sewing machine, just borrow one from a friend who can give you some pointers before you get started. Plus, once you cut up your jeans and pick out the perfect bordering fabric, you’re bound to start feeling giddy about it. You can even embellish the front pocket if you want to add a bit more character. Thanks to the durable denim fabric, this apron can be used all over: in the kitchen, by the barbecue, or even in the garden; and as you know, it’ll withstand many, many washes.

We know how hard it can be to part with a pair of jeans that have served you so well for so long. At least this way you still get to wear them while looking cute at the same time.
