Paper Heart Decoration

How absolutely adorable is this? I adore making simple things with my kids, and this is a great choice for decorating at Valentine’s Day! You can gather up supplies and sit kids down at the table to make these and hang all over your home, room, or a classroom!

This is definitely a great decoration for educators to use in their classroom as a fun and easy class project with kids of all ages. Super simple for teaching scissors and folding skills, but also inexpensive.

If you are working with kids, you may want to check out this glittery heart flower bouquet! They might also like this simple framed hearts Valentine’s Day decoration. So many cute ideas for the kids to help make this year!

While the kids make one of these easier decorations, you can work on a real piece of art like this heart string art decoration!

What Paper Should I Use?

I think this is one craft you could make using any paper you prefer. Construction paper is a great option since it’s a bit sturdier, but simple copy paper, crafting paper, or patterned papers are all great choices.

I love the idea of grabbing different Valentine’s Day patterns of craft paper and making your paper heart totally unique. Think about using red, pink, white, purple, silver, blue, or papers with roses, flowers, words, and more! So many great possibilities with this idea!

Can I Turn This Into a Paper Heart Garland?

I’ve made a simple burlap heart garland recently, but why not turn this idea into a banner or garland? If you made your paper heart people smaller, you could easily attach them to a long ribbon or piece of twine. Then, hang it from your mantle as a beautiful Valentine’s Day bunting! Such a cute idea for adding a bit more fun to your home around a special holiday.
