3 Unique Popsicle Stick Crafts For Kids And Adults

Modified: May 9, 2019 by Vanessa Beaty · This post may contain affiliate links · 1 Comment

Have I mentioned how much I love popsicle stick crafts? Honestly, is there anything that you can’t make with these easy to find craft sticks?

I recently found myself with a surplus of popsicle sticks – not that my kids eat a lot of popsicles or anything – and I wanted to do something productive with them.

What Can You Make With Popsicle Sticks?

Like I said, you can make nearly anything with these little craft sticks. This video tutorial will show you how to make an adorable earring holder, a coaster, and a pencil holder.

You can do these with regular popsicle sticks that you have on hand, or, I found mind online. Just look for large popsicle sticks – they’re going to be a bit wider than the traditional ones, and they’re available in multiple colors!

Are These Popsicle Stick Crafts Good Kid’s Projects?

Yes! Kids are going to love helping you with any of these crafts. Any of these would be a wonderful popsicle stick craft for summer camps or Bible School. Or, just make them at home.

These crafts are a great way to keep your little ones busy this summer or when it’s raining, and they can't get outside.

What Else Can You Make From Popsicle Sticks?

I have shared so many fun popsicle stick crafts with you guys. More recently, I showed you a great video tutorial on how to make a hexagon shelf with popsicle sticks. I’ve also shown you how to make these cute coasters from popsicle sticks and these lovely popsicle stick napkin holders.

How To Make An Earring Holder From Popsicle Sticks

Whether you are making this for yourself or to give as a gift, this DIY popsicle stick earring holder is a fun and super easy craft. It holds several pairs of earrings when you get it finished, and it’s a cute little earring organizer to have on your dresser.

Yield: 1

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Actual Time: 15 Minutes

Total Time: 20 Minutes

Difficulty: Easy

Materials:

  • 6 Colored Popsicle Sticks (You can buy these already colored or paint them yourself)
  • 4 Plain Popsicle Sticks
  • Hot Glue Gun

Instructions:

1. If you choose to paint the popsicle sticks yourself, do this first. Make sure that you give them plenty of time to dry. I recommend spray paint, but you can use acrylic or craft paint if you want.

2. Take 2 of your plain popsicle sticks and lay them down away from each other. You are going to glue the colored sticks to these sticks.

3. Glue 4 of your colored sticks to the 2 plain sticks.

4. You don’t want the sticks to overlap. Space the 4 colored sticks out evenly and make sure that they fit right up to the outside edge of your plain sticks.

5. Take your other 2 colored sticks and glue them to the bottom of your frame.

6. Take the other 2 plain sticks and glue them at an angle from the top down to the 2 colored sticks on the bottom.

7. You should end up with a lean-to shape, sort of like a triangle.

8. And now you have a unique holder for all of those dangly earrings.

9. Your finished jewelry holder should look something like this one:

How To Make A Popsicle Stick Pencil Holder

This popsicle stick pencil holder is an excellent craft for kids. It's so easy to cover a can with popsicle sticks, and this would make an excellent addition to your child’s desk – or yours!

Yield: 1

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Active Time: 15 Minutes

Total Time: 20 Minutes

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions:

1. Choose the can that you want to use. Note that the size of your can will determine how many popsicle sticks you need to use. I chose a can that is about the same height as my craft sticks so that it fits well.

2. Wash and dry the can thoroughly.

3. Start gluing popsicle sticks onto the outside of the can.

4. Cover the entire can with popsicle sticks.
