When I first started learning crochet, I was trying to pick up most of it just following pictures and diagrams, and it was so difficult. I had a hard time understanding how to get from one diagram to the next without being able to see it live. But now there are tons of awesome crochet tutorial videos on YouTube! This has finally given me what I need to make real progress in my crochet journey.
Recently I have wanted to make a more elaborate project with more colors than I have tried using in the past (most of my projects have been limited to just one or two colors). And I found this video for crocheting a peacock motif:
Video tutorial on how to crochet the motif.
It is really easy to follow. In fact, I have already created my first one! Now I just need to make a bunch more and connect them all together to make something really cool. There is so much that you could do with this. A bunch of these connected together would make a beautiful blanket or a gorgeous shawl. I’m still not sure how to connect them, but I have faith that I can figure it out if I just work at it (and maybe find another tutorial) I have found a couple of free and paid patterns on Ravelry and Craftsy. Anyway, check out the video and enjoy the tutorial here you’ll find her written instructions on peacock motif pattern. Be sure to share your creations with us in the comments section. I am so excited to see what all of you make! Maybe I will find some inspiration for my own peacock projects!
