Oven spills are such a pain. Not only do they leave a residue on your oven, but they can start to smell if you don’t get them cleaned up quickly. They can also start a fire if you leave them there too long. So, you have to clean them up, but what’s the best way to do that without having to run out and buy oven cleaner?

This great DIY method for cleaning spills is easy, effective, and best of all, cheap. If you have regular table salt, then you have all of the ingredients that you need. You just have to put the salt over the spill, and once the oven cools, it will come right up. The salt works as an absorber to soak up the spill.

Note that this really needs to be done while the spill is fresh, so it is best to do it as soon as you spill something, and then you can clean it up after you have finished your baking. Video by lovely Melissa, click on her name to check out her YouTube channel.
