Deviled Dragon Eggs Recipe

Deviled Dragon Eggs Recipe

What makes these ordinary deviled eggs extraordinary is the fact that you turn them into dragon eggs with some food coloring. The process is a bit long, it takes around three hours for it to complete. But trust me when I saw that it is well worth it to see the looks on the faces of your little ones, or your dinner guests.

Ingredients

  • 6 hardboiled eggs, unpeeled
  • 1/3 cup of tartar sauce
  • 1 tsp. of honey mustard
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • Paprika and black food dye for decoration

Instructions

  1. Crack egg shell with a spoon and put into zip lock bag. Add black food dye and about a tablespoon of water. Mix to cover all eggs in dye completely.
  2. Leave egg in fridge for at least 3 hours (or overnight).
  3. Put cooking gloves on and peel the eggs. Rinse them in vinegar solution (1 part vinegar, 1 part water), then rinse with water again.
  4. Cut eggs in half, remove yolks and mash them with a fork. Add tartar sauce, hot sauce and honey mustard. Season with salt if needed.
  5. Fill egg whites with yolk mixture using pastry bag. Sprinkle paprika on top before serving.
